Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using Courseflow, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be able to enter into this agreement under applicable law and must obtain any legally required permission to use the service.

What Courseflow provides

Courseflow is an independent student project that aggregates assignment information from supported public course pages and user-authorized sources, tracks local completion status, and optionally projects assignment deadlines to Google Calendar. Features, supported courses, and availability may change or be discontinued.

Courseflow is not affiliated with UC Berkeley, bCourses, Canvas, Gradescope, or Google. Those services have their own terms and policies.

Not an official academic source

Courseflow may contain delayed, incomplete, incorrectly interpreted, or unavailable information. It is a convenience tool—not an official course record, learning-management system, submission service, instructor communication, or guarantee of a deadline. You remain responsible for checking official course materials and submitting work correctly and on time. Marking an assignment complete in Courseflow does not submit it.

Your account and connected services

You are responsible for activity under your account and for choosing which Google account, calendar, feeds, and browser-extension connections to authorize. You must have permission to provide any connected feed or course information. Keep connection links and browser keys confidential, and promptly disconnect access you no longer trust.

Third-party services may change, restrict, suspend, or revoke access independently of Courseflow. Courseflow is not responsible for third-party services or their content.

Acceptable use

You may use Courseflow only for lawful personal academic organization. You may not:

• Access another person’s account, private feed, calendar, or coursework without permission.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape at unreasonable rates, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls.
• Use the service to distribute malware, infringe rights, harass others, or violate school or third-party rules.
• Resell Courseflow access or use it to build a competing dataset without permission.

Your content and permission to operate the service

You retain your rights in information you provide. You give Courseflow a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that information only as necessary to provide, secure, and maintain the features you request. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide it.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Courseflow and disconnect integrations at any time. Courseflow may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address misuse, comply with law, or discontinue the project. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Courseflow is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Courseflow operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed deadlines, academic consequences, lost opportunities, or service interruption arising from Courseflow. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Courseflow in the preceding twelve months or US $50.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as Courseflow changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law. Questions may be directed through the project repository; do not post private account information in a public issue.
